Our apparel is made with 100% organic cotton, grown without synthetic pesticides, fertilizers, or GMOs. Certified organic cotton (e.g. GOTS) also includes ethical and environmental standards for production. This means:

🌳 Why Trees Matter
-On average, one mature tree absorbs about 22 kilograms (48 pounds) of CO₂ per year
-Trees restore biodiversity, protect endangered wildlife, prevent soil erosion, protect agricultural productivity, and support local families with sustainable income sources.
Over 15 billion trees are cut down each year globally.
That breaks down to roughly 42 million trees cut down every day.
This is based on a landmark study published in the journal Nature in 2015, which estimated:
~3 trillion trees currently exist on Earth
~15 billion trees are cut down annually
~5 billion trees are planted, leaving a net loss of ~10 billion trees per year
🌍 That means deforestation is still happening at an alarming rate — with massive impacts on biodiversity, ecosystems, local communities, waterways, and humanity at large.

The impact is real and measurable. Tree cover is increasing or stable in all of the watersheds where Plant With Purpose works, growing at a global average of .39% per year.
